About Us

The Fiji Yachting Association (FYA) is the official governing body of sailing in Fiji. One of the fastest-growing water sports worldwide, the Windsurfer Class, will be participating in the 2023 Pacific Games in The Solomon Islands. Fiji boasts an impressive 12 World Titles in the sport, thanks to Fijian athlete Tony Philp.

 

To further support the sport, FYA purchased 30 brand-new “Cobra Windsurfer LTs,” which are the official brand for racing at the Worlds. The association plans to host a world-class event in Fiji for at least the next three years, thanks to the perfect location and ideal weather conditions.

 

As a member of the International Windsurfer Class Association, FYA has the full support of IWCA and World Sailing. The association is committed to reigniting the windsurfing class in Fiji for the Oceania region, making it possible for anyone from Oceania countries, including Australia and New Zealand, to participate. The four-day event promises to be a thrilling competition for all involved.
